Is Global Warming a Problem?
The real science is in. The answer is YES. Should we do something about it? YES. Do we have solutions? YES. Let's do it. Let's get this ball rolling, and Let's get real, meaningful legislation passed in the US Senate and House of Representatives. The real solutions are the Safe Climate Act in the House and the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act in the Senate. We have been working hard, we have been making lots of good progress and the product of our labor will be an Act we pass in our nation's government. As a nation, as a concerned, educated body of people, we support our representatives in leading our nation, and in turn our world, in taking this bull by the horns and putting the solutions we already KNOW to WORK!

Mural in Tuxtla Gutierrez, where I am now.
Puente Chiapas.
Puente Chiapas.
Puente Chiapas.
Puente Chiapas.
Near the Puente Chiapas.
Island near Puente Chiapas.
Some birds flying near the island near the bridge Puente Chiapas.
In the middle of the bridge Puente Chiapas.
This is the River near Raudales.
Okay, this is some of the family--Juan Carlos, Alejandra, and some neighbor girls--Ana, and one other.
This girl Diana ran into me on the streets of Raudales del Malpaso, Chiapas, coming home from school, and asked me all about my trip. She led me to the internet cafe, and then her family hosted me for a night.
Juan Carlos, Ana and I.
Friends I met in Raudales del Malpaso, Chiapas, who hosted me for a night.

Las Choapas
I am now in Las Choapas, and today I will cross into Chiapas! Yesterday I biked 80 km to here. I found a nice family in the town plaza. They are into Herbal Life nutritional beverages. I set up my tent in the court yard. The weather is quite hot and humid here. I slept in just shorts and no covers, and it was still a bit warm. Hopefully, as I head into the hills of Chiapas, the temperature will be a bit lower. Current plan: cycle to San Cristobal de las Casas, bus back to Puebla, Mexico City and San Luis Potosi, and fly back from there to DC for wedding and graduations. And then perhaps return to San Cristobal to continue the trip!
